The Gambler’s Help telephone counselling service provides crisis counselling, support, information and referral for people affected by problem gambling, family members, concerned others and the general community, 24-hours a day, seven days per week. This service is available across Victoria on FREECALL 1800 858 858.
The Gambler's Help Line is integrated with Gambler's Help face-to-face counselling services and financial counselling services across Victoria.
An additional telephone service called 'Ready to Change' offers scheduled therapeutic telephone counselling for clients who are unable, or who prefer not to access face-to-face counselling.
In 2010-11, the Gambler’s Help telephone service received more than 13,000 calls, and 106 new clients participated in the Ready to Change program.
The Gambler’s Help telephone service and Ready to Change programs are delivered in Victoria by Turning Point Alcohol & Drug Centre.
