Recovery Assistance Program

Problem gambling can significantly affect the financial stability of people affected by problem gambling and their families. The Recovery Assistance Program (RAP) provides material and financial assistance to people and their families when gambling leads to financial crisis.

During 2010–11, material aid distributed by Gambler’s Help agencies comprised of support for housing/accommodation (26 per cent), followed by bills and utilities (25 per cent), food (19 per cent) and transport (18 per cent).
