Awareness and prevention
The foundation's Professional Development Centre supports the training and professional development of clinicians who provide problem gambling treatment services in Victoria.
We support Gambler's Help services staff and other health professionals who work with people with gambling problems by providing ongoing training, activities and development opportunities.
We aim to create an effective dialogue between research and clinical practice by developing treatments that are informed by research findings, and undertaking innovative research that is informed by treatment practice.
Our professional development activities are designed for Gambler’s Help services staff, however we welcome other professionals likely to be involved with gambling clients to participate in our programs and activities.
We offer a number of training and development opportunities throughout the year across a range of topic areas in a range of formats, including webinars, seminars, courses and lunch time learnings. Find out more upcoming activities.
We welcome your ideas and feedback. To find out more about the Professional Development Centre, or to suggest topics you would like to see covered in our training programs and activities, please contact:
