Responsible Gambling Charter

We've developed a Responsible Gambling Charter to help clubs take a healthy approach to gambling.

Signing the charter is a commitment to minimising the exposure of gambling activities and advertising to young people, and to raise awareness of the risks of gambling in the club community.

What's involved?

Your club signs the Responsible Gambling Charter and makes a commitment to separate gambling from your game.

This means forgoing sponsorship from betting companies. It also means making some practical and easy changes to your club rooms and ground to ensure young people are not exposed to gambling.

When clubs sign the charter they will receive:

  • a certificate of participation
  • signage to display in clubrooms
  • use of the program logo for promotional purposes e.g. club newsletters.

Become a Charter Champion

We also ask that your club nominates two Charter Champions to help implement the charter and champion the program in your club. All participating clubs will be supported to implement the charter and the program, by their local Gambler's Help representatives.
