Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation
This project is a systematic investigation into the harms caused by gambling to individuals, their families and the community. It was undertaken by researchers from Central Queensland University.
The project identifies the prevalence of harms as they occur in the Victorian community, as well as providing a conceptual framework of harms from gambling.
Importantly, the report provides a burden of disease for gambling. This provides a measure of the harm associated with gambling that can be compared with other health conditions.
This project is helping us understand how to achieve our vision of a Victoria free from gambling-related harm
This project was completed in 2015 and published in April 2016. It consists of a report and fact sheets.
